There is a big difference. Anti-semitism is motivated by xenophobia. The fear of strangers and different cultures is the main factor here.

The things people might have against the Germans is not the culture, but of the regular German habit of invading other countries. The fear of German tanks is the main factor here.

IMO, for aus it would be paul keating for finance and maybe gough whitlam (he was actually kicked out of pm). Gough whitlam did alot of great things like started the maternity leave for women and stuff like that but his plan of anti-privitisation would have f-cked aus up to this day.

The good old Tampa 'Crisis' It wasnt a bloody crisis until Howard and his army of facist spin doctors in news made it one! For sdome reason, Howard and his croonies think that Australia is rightfully the Europeans. He ignores the natvie aboriginies(not thats there many left, the English killed most of them) and thinks that the whites are the only ones who sould be here. He claims that the racist way the Australian Goverment treats Refugees is the only way! He calls boat people 'Que jumpers' If you want to legally get into Australia, you have to apply at the Australian embassy and get procesed which takes months. Most of the people have to flee in a hurry but noooooo, they havent done it how the Goverment wants so they are sent to camps. Need more reasons? he constantly makes life harder for people with low incomes well making it smother for the rich, Hes George W. Bushes boot liker, and when Washington says jump, Howard asks how high. He basically won the last elections on a scam! No I don not like him, Im glad Im a NZer........ But then we have our bad politicians too. Wish Richard Prebble would join Howard in a nice excursion to the sun!

I think calling Howard a fascist is a little off the mark.

As for not letting in immigrants, this is a normal function of most if not all Western developed nations. Australia due to its size and position has a particually difficult task in this. If the gated were open to illegal immigration it would severly strain the nation, the PM does not have the right to allow that to happen.

I would also disgagree with your assosiation betwene Howard and persecution of Aborigionies by others, years ago.
