SinfulNinja7 10 Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) Hi, When I play Arma 2, Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, or DayZ it works fine. But the 3-D screen resolution is 940-540. That is really low. Whan I go to change it to 1600-900 The game crashes. It says it is not responding. I am running Windows 8. I could really use the help. I bought the game During the steam sale. I bought the complete Pack. Please help. Thank you for your time. :) Edited July 16, 2013 by Deadfast Removed painful font effects
orcinus 121 Posted July 17, 2013 (edited) So, help us to help you: -post your system specs (CPU, GPU (& driver version), OS, memory etc.). Look in your arma2OA.RPT file (open in notepad) & see if there are any error messages. If so hit the "go advancd" button below the reply window & post in a spoiler. Look in the same directory as the RPT (location depends on OS, Steam vs non-Steam; search for "arma2OA.RPT") and see if there are any files with the extension .mdmp or .bidmp with creation dates & times matching those of the crashes. In the interim, make a copy of your Arma2OA.cfg (so you don't lose any personalised key settings) then delete the original. Start the game and it will write a new one. See if that helps. If so, just copy the whole key definition section from the backup .cfg, select the entire key definition section in the new cfg, paste & save (game should not be running whenever you edit the .cfg files!). Check you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. PS it's Steam, so run a "verify files" or whatever it's called to check nothing got corrupted during the download. A "0" instead of a "1" (or vice-versa) somewhere critical can screw gigabytes of program. Edited July 17, 2013 by Orcinus Additional info
