Can't add addons

Everytime i try to install an unofficial addon to my addon section thing,it says "you do not have permission, see administrator" and im the only one who uses this damn computer. also when i try to drag my .pbo file to somthing,it says "access is denied". im running on windows XP. sorry if i sound dumb,but please help

It appears you do not have enough permissions to access that directory. Are you sure your current user account has administrator priviliges? If so, you may need to manually "take ownership" of those directories.

i tried installing the addons on all the other names and they all say "access denied". i have downloaded addons for other games and this game wont let me do it. all i want to do is get a few new gun addons and some new sounds. please help

What addon are you having the problem with? It is something that came in the form of a ZIP file, and you cannot extract the contents into the Addon folder, or is there a separate installation program you are supposed to run?
