His_Shadow 10 Posted June 11, 2013 Are any other servers getting DDoS attacks? I have two different hosting providers Codero and Singlehop and they both have reported DDoS attacks. Can't wait for the offender's to get their comeuppance. EDIT: corrected hosting provider name
Hatchet_Harry 1 Posted June 12, 2013 Nope, we have no DDoS problems. I suggest: Use a firewall with intrusion detection If Bohemia would fix the problems with the Serverlist (ping 2500 Issue for DNAT connections, user has to start arma as administrator) you could use Microsoft TMG as easy-to-use firewall with this feature. If you hoster makes it possible: Talk with them about managed firewalls for a monthly fee. They will be interested in protecting their switched network. Kind regards Harry Edit: Botnet attacks are difficult to handle. Talk to experts in your specific datacenter infrastructure, which are able to analyze the ddos traffic. dietrich 10 Posted June 13, 2013 The type of server/mission you run makes a big difference in how likely you are to be attacked. What kind of mission are you running?
Hatchet_Harry 1 Posted June 14, 2013 He is running his_own version of Fussion Wasteland. I dont think it is a solution to switch the running mod. Shadow spent weeks of his private time to script the 501st elite version and some stupid kiddies try prevent him from delivering a cool service paid by him_self. I just hope he will get that managed. Sorry guys... was not able keep cool. Hosting is funny for nobody atm. Just my 2 cent Harry
