When playing a multi player game, if you press the 'I' key you get details of kills e.t.c

There is a column with the title of 'Players', what does this tell you?

Cheers

Player is the number of players you killed infintry is the number of people you killed this is a combo of AI and People where the list that says People are just people you have killed Infintry takes the number of people you killed Pluse the number of AI infintry you have killed smile.gif

Cheers, so in a game with no AI and no kills (credited to me). I would expect both to be zero?

So assuming the above, you are saying there is nothing else that may effect the players column?

Players is just that, the amount of human players you've killed. That's it.

Stewart, I think that any friendly fire kills you may inflict are deducted from your total kills?

In one MP game one of my mines got a BMP, but a team mate was close enough to the blast to get killed. So I dont have a clue how this would effect the stats, if at all?

I dunno about that. Might be a glitch

If it is YOUR mine explosion that killed him, it counts as FF for you. I can't remmeber how this effects the list. But if it was the BMP explosion that got him, it wont count agaisnt you.

Thanks for the update, quick note.

If you kill yourself trying to land a Heli at high speed, low level. Or eject to close to the ground, that is also classed as a FF kill.

Ouch...! that smarts biggrin.gif

No that would not count as FF, because you are killing yourself. But if there are people in the chopper and you are the pilot when you crash. (and you still have to be sitting in the pilot seat) Then it would be FF.

No I was alone, but the global message reported it as a FF kill? (two out of three times, it worked once).

Unless I landed on a poor unfortunate team mate, two times on the trot sad.gif

But i will test it by hosting a single player MP game, and practice my close insertion.

Did it say "yourname was killed by (Friendly Fire)"

If so, it just means that a friendly vehicle got ya. I think confused.gif

correct as stated above, friendly fire kills deduct from your total...not sure about killing yourself...the choppers/aircraft work strangely: for example, if you are a pilot and your craft takes enough damage to go down but you and your crew are killed by the explosion or the crash itself, the enemy will not receive credit for killing you and the death of your crew is counted as friendly fire by the pilot.

Suchey, that's cause in OFP there is "Gaia". It's everything exept AI and Players nad Vehciles. Its basically the ground. If I AA a chopper, take out its main rotor, but not destroy it. Thats when the ground takes the kill. This is why I like to use LAW's RPG's on choppers. THey tend to have more explosive powere than AA.

I did a quick test on a MP map, killed a couple of enemy AI.

Then flew a helicopter into the side of a mountain and had one kill deducted.

Since you were pilot it counted against yourself.
