Game minimizes because pointer escapes to 2 monitor

Hello. First real issue I have had with the game.

I am using 2 monitors with my pc. Only 1 monitor for the games.

I am playing the game in Fullscreen BUT this does not stop the mouse pointer from wandering to the second monitor when I am moving or turning my character in the game. This makes it very frustrating when I try to click or shoot because the pointer may be on the second monitor and make the game minimize.

The game does not crash or freeze. It simple minimizes and I have to click it again to resume.

Games always block or lock the mouse pointer inside its window in Fullscreen or even windowed mode but Arma 3 is not doing so.

If any more info is needed from me for this problem, respond with the requirements so I can post them. Thanks to any who can help resolve this.

I think this is a problem with windows and extended displays allowing free mouse movement if cursor is available.

I mean it will prevent the game from minimizing when you click outside the window, not lock the mouse pointer inside. ;)

The cursor is only visible in 'ESC' menus when it is possible to click on 2nd monitor to go to desktop and I use that instead of Alt-TAB

Perhaps you need to tick the option 'Hide cursor while typing' in Windows mouse options

I am using Windows 7 as my OS. ATI card.

This is the first time this has happened, months ago this same problem never happened to me when playing.

Also this happens when I am playing the game, I have not checked in the games menu or editor mode.

I will try the fullscreen window mode now.

there is also such a bug in the 'splendid config viewer' :)

if you doubleclick a catagory (for example CfgWeapons) the cursor will skip to the centre of the secondary monitor :D

ok after switching to Fullscreen Windowed option from the ingame option screen I haven't had this problem anymore. I can now turn around to the right(direction of my second monitor) all I want and the cursos will not exit the game.

I will continue testing and post more if any other error appears.

The issue didn't return when I did alt+tab. I also clicked outside the game, when in menu, the game didn't minimize and when I returned to the game the issue was not present.

So for now I can say this is resolved for me. I will keep testing but it seems fullscreen windowed fixed it for me.

Is there a solution to this problem? changing to fullscreened window doesnt work for me :(

I've had this happen in ever BI game I've ever played. It's frustrating, DayZ especially. Always happens at the worst time.
