Mission type: Coop.

Players: 1-8.

Respawn Type: Base.

Difficulty: HIGH!

Light Conditions: 5 day/2 night options.

Mission1 is a cool mission with 70-100 high skilled enemies where you can use most of the vehicles and items present on Arma 3 Alpha.

This mission is fully working mission to show my latest scripts for Arma. Like always the scripts are cleverly made and they work having a minimal impact in performance. Thanks to this I manage to create a highly re-playable cool challenging mission!

Mission summarize:

- Cool challenging mission where you can use most of the Arma 3 Alpha content.

- Smart tiny scripts to make this mission a great experience:

- Random AI unit locations.

- Sector Control game system.

- SaveGear system.

- Smart Marker system.

# HOW TO PLAY MISSION1?

1. Place "mission1.Stratis.pbo" file inside the "...\Arma 3\MPMissions" folder.

2. Open the game.

3. Press "PLAY/MULTIPLAYER"

4. Press "NEW"

5. Sever configuration:

- NAME: Give a name to your server.

- HOST:

- LAN: Will create a mission on your home/local network. The mission will be not visible on Internet.

- Internet: Will create the mission on Internet so your colleagues and others will be capable to join to the mission.

- MAX. PLAYERS: Set max number of players (8 for this mission)

- PASSWORD: Set a password if you want.

6. Select "Stratis" from map list.

7. Select the "Mission1" from the mission list.

(Recommended difficulty: Veteran)

8. Press "PLAY"

9. Remember that you can change some mission parameters by pressing on the "PARAMETERS" button. You can change:

- Light conditions.

- Increase the number of enemies.

- Enable/disable grass.

- Modify the view distance (Increasing the view distance has an impact on the game performance. I'm sure Bohemia Interactive will fix this soon.) Default value (500m) to make sure that every client will have a fantastic great experience! Good machines will run this mission with 60 FPS stable!

- Enable/disable vest and clothes boxes (This feature has issues on client machines. I'm sure Bohemia Interactive will fix this soon.)

- Enable/disable combat vehicles.

Enjoy the experience!

(If you want to share you experience with other friends the server machine should be the person with better computer and with better broadband connexion)

# NOTES

I also included separate example missions to make easy to people to use the systems:

- Random AI unit locations.

- Sector Control game system.

- SaveGear system.

- Smart Marker system.

(These are mission folders, drop them inside your mission editor folder)

THIS COOL MULTIPLAYER MISSION DOES NOT USE TRIGGERS OR PUBLIC VARIABLES. (To avoid lag issues!)

This mission only includes fully working features.

Mission didn't end when we blew up the antenna. Any thoughts?

I'm embarrassed... You are right. I made a silly error (It was an object ID)

Soon I will release an update and may be I will include a present!

I have been thinking about what I can do for needed update version... I think that I need to add something special... So I'm going to add a "small" version of the first complete multiplayer deathmatch system with AI for Arma. After my DM mission system (For Arma 2) some people asked me for a version with AI units... Today (28/04/2013) I create a complete DM system with AI units! Current version runs with very nice FPS (50+) The idea was to create a DM system with AI units where players can join replacing the AI units... IT WORKS!

Played this one for past couple days with different people and pretty much everyone enjoys it -though it's pretty damn tough! Glad theres an updated version coming cause had we spent all those hours getting to the radar and no complete.....:mad:

Luckily we usually ended hours long session by old faithful.....CTD

UPDATE version is up!

This version includes a bonus mission, DM4, the first DM mission with 100% working AI, safe respawn position, dynamic score display, AI recycling, amazing environment design... This is an alpha version of a future COMPLETE DM mission system like you never saw before. This mission is 100% recommended to every one who wants to improve their combat skills!

Two of us (both newbies) played this last night. It was lots of fun.

I especially liked the extra touches which you don't find in many missions - for example, the many different vehicles available for use. And since there were just two of us - and hordes of enemies - the respawn system was really important, too, and I think you got that just right. (I want death to have some consequences, even if it's inevitable, but I don't want to get completely annoyed at it.)

In this case, being able to save a loadout at the ammobox, plus the ability to teleport back to the airport, after clearing an area, worked great (for, as I say, just two newbies taking on an army). And I liked being able to set parameters, too (though we left them pretty much as they were).

We didn't finish this, because we simply had to stop playing, but we were close to finishing, I think. It's definitely one I'll want to play again sometime. Thanks!

PS. One thing I didn't like was that we weren't in the same team (and there wasn't even an option to choose a team leader). Note that I enjoyed the fact that we didn't have AI help with us, but this was harder to coordinate than it should have been, because we couldn't tell where the other guy was. But maybe that's a parameter I missed?

About including the team and be capable to use AI could be introduced. That will depend on how many people ask for it. My idea is to create something like:

But there is a lack of items in Arma 3 alpha to create something like this. That mission is like a benchmark for a player group. AI units will not match with that idea but all depends on my customers... you guys!

With the time I will introduce new features to this mission.

We played this again last night. Well, we had four people at the start, and three for most of it, and this was just too much fun to resist playing again.

I had a particularly good night (unusual for me), mostly because I used one of those new sniper rifles, which is just perfect for this mission. So that was especially fun. We used the mortar this time, too - which was less effective than I expected, maybe because we're all newbies and there wasn't much ammo.

There are a lot of enemies at the airport, but this mission still isn't as difficult as many we try. I mean that in a good way, because it's still quite challenging. (And, of course, I left enemy skill levels on 'recruit.')

I still wish we were all on the same team, because it's very difficult to keep track of each other this way (especially for us newbies). We have difficulty with coordination anyway, and that certainly doesn't help! :) Also, I'd love to see a revive option, because I'd rather revive fallen comrades (if we can), rather than just have them respawn. But those are really the only criticisms I could make, and they're very minor ones. (As I said before, I loved the vehicles available and I loved the teleport option.)

Oh, the mission didn't finish for us. Clearing the airport was recognized, but not the destruction of the communications tower (maybe because we did that before we'd finished clearing the airport?).

Just wanted to say how much my buddy and I enjoy this mission. We play it pretty much exclusively. But I also wanted to say that it doesn't seem to be working correctly. We clear the airport just fine, and the missions is updated, but blowing the tower never registers. It's not a big deal to us, but it would be kinda nice to have it work. Thanks again and I hope to see more missions from you of this quality.
