Are already there bolt action rifle for long shooting range in alpha 3 alpha ? I'm waiting this kind of weapons to buy the alpha.

Yes, check out the R3F French Weapons pack by team R3F which contains many high quality weapons including several bolt action rifles such as the PGM rifle :)

Thanks !!! So if I well understand, in this game you can mod the weapon you want and put it in the game and play with it in all gameplay ? Including in campain mode ? If is it real, woaw, I never play again to BF3 :)

Do you know some servers, team who play in french ?

Re: campaign mode -- no, although a user-made campaign may allow for that weapon or require that weapon.

I just looking the wiki for creating weapons (http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Weapon_Config_Guidelines), I think it's easy to found more information and tutorials to built weapons from scratch, no ? Cause, I like the M40A5 and the L96 AWM, and as I'm a 3d graphist (ok, was, now I'm Technical Director for 3D departement... but still do modeling and co), I would like to built this model.

Here's video of the PGM Hecate II in Arma 3! (Again, credit for this weapon goes to the makers of R3F French Weapons Pack.)

If you want to be creating weapons, then I advise you to look at this, it's the SA 80/L85 for Arma 3 with "the source files" included so that you can learn how it was done; the weapon's 3D model was created using 3DS Max 2013 as shown here, and here will show you more about how the weapon is configured for use within the Arma 3 alpha. You can also do some learning using this M16A4, but please be aware that its files use the "official BI samples" licenses (link to that is in the M16A4 thread).

There are bolt-action animations in the configs in the .53 version. My internet`s been dead for three weeks, and I´ve not been able to get anything at my new place yet. :( I´ve missed so much...

Oh, also, there´s config entries for a cheytac rifle, this is possibly the intervention, which is a bolt action rifle. It´s called differently in the game obviously, but we can probably expect one to be in there.

Yes, that is correct! You can mod in any weapon, piece of equipment, helicopter, tank, ship or whatever into the game and play with it in multiplayer, singleplayer missions and coop. You can also play the campaign with them via replacement configs afaik.

It's very nice to hear you want to use your knowledge to create your own content for the game! There are plenty of tutorials and useful pages around so just do a search :)

If you are looking for people to play with, you can look e.g. here. Though keep in mind that Arma 3 is still in alpha testing stage so many communities play it just to provide feedback

You can kinda make em appear in campaign mode. You could make a replacement addon to swap out certain guns for other ones. Obviously you'd need to know which guns appear in the campaign but I think it's possible if you do it that route.

You can pretty much do whatever you want in this series, when it comes to modding, etc. Bring your talent to A3, we're better than BF3 ;)

I wanna see some bolt action animations.Right now in the R3F mod the bolt just moves back and forth but its missing the actual movement of the arms etc.
