Screen slowly fades to black during play

I have searched the forums and have seen many "black screen" issues but none seem to be like the one I am having.

First I've played the game fine for months with no issues what so ever. Then all of a sudden as I am playing the screen slowly fades to black as I am moving. If I stop moving it won't get darker but it won't get any brighter. Eventually the game screen will go completely black while all audio and game controls work fine.

It looks like there is a black box that covers the entire screen except for about a 5 pixel border around the whole screen which is the normal brightness.

I've updated my drivers to the most current, downgraded to older ones even, and deleted my ArmA2OA.cfg file. The only thing that seems to help is deleting the config file. That fixed the issue for about 2 weeks and now its back. If I delete the file the game runs fine but slowly fades after about 5minutes of playing.

It is not a heat issue either, my gpus' are both holding at 60c and barely move anywhere above 65c.

Windows 7 ultimate 64bit

gtx 590 ( with latest drivers )

8gb ram

Is this on all missions? Somehow it sounds to me like some sort of "corridor". The Mission designer wants you to take a certain route and if you leave this route, the screen will go black. Maybe try to go the way back you've coming.

But this is just guesswork but for me the most plausible so far.

All missions I have played on. wasteland and several variations of Dayz mod.

Are you sure that you have good version of DayZ, the same as on server?

Also do you have correct version of beta patch?

100% up to date versions of dayz, arma2, arma2 beta patch

remember this also happen in wasteland. I will even try just loading the flight tutorials and report back.

Are you running Ace or any mod that has a fatigue system?
