(os problem) am thinking of upgrading the vps but first i need to know what linux OS do you guys recommend to run OA server and would the following spec to good enough to run a OS,TS3 and OA server: 1400 GB Bandwidth Network Port Speed 1000 MBPS CPU Cores 4 Core Access @2.4GHz Dedicated RAM 2048 MB (2.0 GB) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Overlord 0 Posted April 4, 2013 Doesn't say anything about your up/down speed, but anyway. No problem with your hardware, but you might want to add more RAM. Depending how experienced Linux manager you are, there are lots of distros to choose about. A Debian/Ubuntu system have a very neat packet system for adding new libs when required (ref several GLIB threads) Personally I run 64 bit Ubuntu Server, don't bother with X when 99.8% managing is done by putty/FTP. Hosting CO/CWR2, TS3 and occasionally several OFP mod-servers in addition to LAMP/FTP servers. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
