It would eliminate the need for soldiers altogether! You could be right you know - lets all band together as a community and build this incredible machine and contract it off to the US Defence Department. I've got some bits of string, some old CD-RWs and a Å2.34 so thats a good start. In no time the allied forces will have a cyborg-type game to fight the Taliban, well any that are left, weren't they defeated monthes ago? We could use the origional box art to provide some camoflauge gear and train it in CQB.............. No but seriously welcome to OFP. The whole process of editing OFP units and creating addons is fairly complex so I suggest you check out www.ofpec.com to start with. As for the Taliban thing, it was dismissed monthes ago by many as non-PC so I wouldn't really expect it to be very popular.
Sam Samson 0 Posted July 20, 2002 Umm, I made a campaign that sort of engages the subject kinda. Its called Samson's War on Terror and can be downloaded about everywhere. You can find the newest version here: http://home.debitel.net/user/gehoinle/SWoT/index.html Since many people liked it, a French fan, Azimut 0, converted it into a Winter scenario. To be found at www. flashpointconversions.xyz or something like that.
Aculaud 0 Posted July 21, 2002 Theres already delta force:task force dagger out, and thats totally centered on glorifying the destruction of Bin Laden. Better idea for a mod than an official addon, me thinks...

swilliams 0 Posted July 26, 2002 What if Bin Laden found it lying around a cave with a laptop conveniantly next to it and decided to play it. Â He would get so angry that he would finish the game in an hour just to see the credits. Â He would leave his cave and run to the developers houses killing each one. Â He would tourment the story developer and the facial texturing guy. Â A Soviet-Afghanistan war mod would be better because the Afghan forces would actually be able to kill someone
Major Fubar 0 Posted July 26, 2002 *yawn* Old idea, bad idea. Unless you mean a game where you blow the crap out of some caves in mountains and never find the guy you are looking for.
KiCk@--y 0 Posted July 26, 2002 Ehhm... Yeah right, like there was a lot of fighting this year there, Bombing caves from US airplanes isn't really something like Flashpoint, i thought Infantry didn't played such a big role out there anyway. By the way, the people in Afghanistan (Terrorists not included) suffered so much war out there, i don't think it's now the right time to create a computer game for it, maybe in a short HUNDRED YEARS, when everybody has almost forgotten it. And by the way, Bin Laden won't show up with his scary Ass anywhere on the world, except on some of those country's that protect terrorists like Libya and stuff. Sorry for ALMOST changing the subject, go on people!
swilliams 0 Posted July 26, 2002 Yeah its not all infantry in Afghanistan. Its mainly the SAS thats killing most terrorists though, while the main forces are providing air support
