FSPilot 0 Posted July 20, 2002 Hi everyone. I just completed the campaign which was a LOT of fun, but I ran into a very small problem. In the Cessna 172 skylane (small civilian plane in last campaign mission), the directional gyro (compass in the plane) and the compass at the top of the screen are different. It's the plane's compass that's off. When you're really heading north, it indicates south.

Placebo 29 Posted July 27, 2002 Csm you were warned about your attitude, you didn't listen, you have 24hrs to consider it while you're post restricted.
Zerogreat 0 Posted July 27, 2002 Is it STILL indicating south or its just indicating opposite direction than you re going?
Harnu 0 Posted July 28, 2002 I can't even see the compass in the plane. Where is it? On the dash or are you talking about the one you get when you press "g"?
FSPilot 0 Posted July 29, 2002 It's indicating opposite the compass on the top of the screen (haven't checked the "G" compass, but that should be the same as the one on the top of the screen). The compass (well, directional gyro) is on the bottom, the compass is on the top. Look at this pic.
canadianrecon 0 Posted August 1, 2002 Just to clarify, its a 172 Skyhawk As for the DG Or Directional Gyro, perhaps there's a way in OFP to set the DG just like you do in a real Cessna? I have no idea how, but perhaps? Seems kinda funny it'd be exactly 180 though. And Another funny bug, the instruments, are in the entirely wrong positions, it makes the DG the most important INstrument, the Artificial Horizon should be the most prominment, and the Tachometer should be on the bottom. Ahh well ...
