hekuball 10 Posted March 28, 2013 Im kinda new to Arma series, bought Arma 2 but didnt get along with it, now got the Alpha and feeling optimistic. My question is, do you think we can expect to see war-torn environments? Judging from the island that the alpha is situated in, there are military installations, airport, hilltop camps etc and there are towns. What about fortifications? Trenches, barbed wire, bunkers, sandbags, tank traps, are these something we can expect in the game at all? If it were, would they be placeable as part of the editor? I think this kind of thing may help with two things - change the atmosphere to one of a conflict zone, currently it does feeling like invading Ibiza and maybe will enable you to have more map- like scenarios for MP. Just a thought.
2nd ranger 282 Posted March 28, 2013 Those sorts of things have always been available in the editor. Also, the islands are already war-torn as part of the story, and also for reasons of performance. Notice how most of the buildings are run-down and abandoned. It is also possible to destroy buildings, or sections of them, by script for a look of more devastation. Harzach 2517 Posted March 28, 2013 You can expect to see whatever the modding community can dream up. That is the beauty of Arma.
