patch 21/03: uniform handling changed

Has the uniform handling been changed or is it just a bug?

1. "adduniform" does not add an uniform any longer (to a unit that wears none)

2. When you place a soldier with default equipment on the map, his uniform slot is empty, but the 3D model wears one. Further,

hintsilent format ["%1",uniform player]

does not show a hint at all.

I found that the Opfor uniform(Fatigues (Hex)) has a slightly different classname now.

U_OI_CombatUniform_ocamo

is now

U_O_CombatUniform_ocamo

Took me ages to figure that out, other than that I'm not experiencing any of your problems. I'm on the latest dev build.

At least it seems now that any side can be equipped with any uniform. Not ingame by taking it from a box or dead unit, but by script with adduniform.

Are you implying that "steal enemy uniform" was somewhat re-implemented, albeit as a scripted situation that would have to be done for any mission that would allow uniform-swapping?

Would be quite retarded not to let mission makers choose if they want to let people wear enemies' uniforms. I'm sure BIS was going to make it an option all along.
