Addweapon and addmagazine

i enter this this in a civillian unit init field.

removeAllWeapons this; this addWeapon "AK47"; this addMagazine "AK47"

it gives the unit the AK47; but no ammo... what am i doing wrong?

i know.. ive tried that also, forgot to add that to the thread...

could it be that civ units cant carry ammo?

Maybe there is no magazine called AK47, try with AK74.

Ok, I just tried adding an AK47 and magazine to a civilian and it worked.

this addmagazine "AK47";this addweapon "AK47"

Uh....I dont know what you're doing wrong but it works fine for me. AK47 is a valid magazine type btw.
