roguetrooper 2 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) Wouldn't it be better to have only a SINGLE command to add things to a soldier and to the cargo space of vehicles and boxes: object additem item; To make additem an automated all-purpose command that recognizes the object that is to be filled and the item that is packed into something (the first NV goggle added goes to the NVG slot, further ones into the vest/backpack). Do we really need three different commands for crates and three more for infantry plus the -global variants? Further, why is there a need of global-variant of the existing commands? Shouldn't a crate that everybody can see in to world automatically have the same content for everybody? Of course, the old commands can't be removed now since scripts of BIS and the community wouldn't work any longer. andersson 285 Posted March 14, 2013 Sometimes its good to have control of what's happening local and global, so a local/global version can be useful. Regarding the different additem/addweapon/addmagazine/cargo, good question. Probably some good answers out there too? If not I guess backwards compatibility.
