Game not starting: Possible FIX for some users:

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I had the problem of the game not starting.

Symptoms were:

- The "Arma" load screen would appear for ~5 seconds then go away and nothing would happen.

- No -xxx swiches helpled

- would see "Syncing" for a spit second in Steam

- Dxdiag would crash

My Fix:

Rolled back my Nvidia drivers to: 306.97 and the game STARTED to work. It's better to do a full uninstall of the drivers from the control panel before you roll back to 306.97. I didn't at first and the game would work but the screen would flicker.

Note: I have not tried updated to the latest drivers again so I don't know if they would now work....

So instead of updating drivers try rolling them back...

Hope it helps.....anyone :)

Ken.
