Autorun Request #2

To whom it may concern,

There was a similiar post about this some time ago. I do understand that having an autorun button can slightly reduce realism however same thing goes for time warps in single player mode hence the ability to increase the speed of time is not really a reality so far. Forget combo keyboards n stuff, or coins/shot glasses on keys, point of discussion is how harmful can an autorun feature be to the superbly realistic environment of ARMA III?

I thought that something like this would be useful in A2 too. But now in A3 sometimes after spawn I start running and can't interrupt it =P. Will report soon...

I'm glad this has been brought up. This would be not only useful for long distance walking or driving but even flying, it could and most likely will come in handy at missions at the sea just as well.

I definitely did miss such feature in arma 2. As of realism concern, one is free not to use it.

Makros?

People have made makros for ARMA II for tasks like this for a long time. I suggest trying it out.

If you use AutoHotKey, a free small program where you can have text files changing keys etc for each game, its very simple to make.

Example:

; Auto Walk

$F1::

Send, {w down}

return

Press F1 to auto walk. Press w once to stop it.
