Rbeasley14 1 Posted March 8, 2013 So im having a lot of trouble starting up Arma 3, I have an okay systems that meets system requirements yet cant start the game (crashes and monitor goes on standby). Ive seen a few people saying that the game starts in as high a detail as possible (like most games) and I was wondering if there was a way of changing the settings before you start the game? System ASUS m5A97 R2.0 Mobo 4GB RAM GeForce 210 - 512mb GPU AMD FX8350 CPU - 4.0GHz
Mrsilentmistake 1 Posted March 9, 2013 Go into my documents/arma 3 alpha/arma 3 alpha it will be a notepad file ( if not open it in that) that has graphical options, give that a go pal.

A 210 is really low.
Rbeasley14 1 Posted March 9, 2013 Yeah I've tried editing the arma3 config file I put the parameters for low settings in and all that happens on start up is my monitor goes on standby and computer becomes completely unresponsive. After waiting for a bout 5minutes I get a windows 8 error and have to restart my pc :/ I do realize that the 210 is bad, but I've seen people being able to play it on worse specs than mine. Any idea on how to fix this error?
[frl]myke 15 Posted March 9, 2013 I have an okay systems that meets system requirements Nope, you don't. The GeForce 210 is a 5 year old low budget GPU which doesn't even come close to the minimum system requirements (which lists a 8800GT as minimum). The Geforce 210 is by factor 6 slower than a 8800GT.
