Dual Graphics

Recommended Posts

I may sound like a noob asking this, but will Arma 3 support AMD dual graphic capabilities?

i dont think it will be supported at the begining. we'll need to wait for nvidia drivers / amd drivers to support SLI'S sadly :)

So use one card atm.

Like Dwaight stated, Crossfire/SLI probably won't be fully supported in the Alpha. I would me a MAJOR letdown if the final game won't support multi-card setups.

Has anyone tried some of the CFX profiles yet? I was going to try the Arma2 profile, since Crossfire isn't working at all at the moment.

There is already an Arma 3 profile in Nvidia Inspector on my computer, and the game already has an SLI compatibility mode set in this profile.

Unfortunately it isn't actually improving performance at all - I get the same framerate with my 690 even if I disable SLI altogether, and the framerate isn't good.

The same here! 1 card 90-100%, 2 cards 40-50% each...and i get the same performance!Sli works but does not give you extra performance.

Strangely I just set the game to 'High' detail instead of 'Ultra' (using the overall detail setting that changes everything else for you) and now I am getting 90-100% use of each card - SLI is working properly. Maybe with Ultra settings the game is limited by the CPU, but I have a 2500k running at 4.6Ghz so I would've hoped it wasn't a bottleneck. Maybe the Ultra View Distances were causing the problem. Plus i've noticed that changing Object Detail and Terrain Detail from High to Ultra has a massive affect on the framerate.

I'm also getting poor framerate and I have 2x 570's 32 gigs of ram and an 8 core CPU

Hopefully this gets fixed in the future
