Yett71 10 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) Just a quick questions, I haven't found anyone ask this. Will the Beta follow on straight after the Alpha? Or will the Alpha be only for a few weeks and then we will have to wait a month or two for the Beta? Also how long is the Alpha? And will the full game follow straight after the Beta? Thanks. vegeta897 13 Posted March 1, 2013 Reading the Buy page and using a little common sense: You can purchase the Alpha package up until the Beta. This would imply that the Alpha is playable until the Beta is out. There would be no harm in keeping the Alpha available to everyone while they prepare for launching the Beta, even if there is a break in Alpha development before the Beta is ready for launch. So yes, the Alpha will be available to you until they launch the Beta.

Just like when the full game is released, their Beta will update to Full release. Pretty sure that's what was said. Somewhere.
vegeta897 13 Posted March 1, 2013 Not sure why you quoted my post? That's all correct, and goes perfectly with what I speculated. It's not like your copy of Arma 3 will disappear at some point until Beta is released. It will remain Alpha until Beta is sent out, as some kind of automatic patch. purepassion 22 Posted March 1, 2013 All the packages, excluding Alpha Lite, are platforms for the development and recieve updates up to and beyond gold status. It is not predictable how long the individual stages of development are going to be but the final release, when the files get copied onto disks and get destributed, is targeted for Q3, 2013. It will however be a dynamic transition.

Flash Thunder 10 Posted March 1, 2013 No the Zeta test will begin shortly after alpha this will ensure Arma 3 gets teh optimizations and moar framez that it needs so people with laptops can run Arma 3 at max @60 fps. purepassion 22 Posted March 1, 2013 Yes, it will update. If you buy the Alpha Package, the Digital Deluxe or the Supporter Package, you will get the Beta and full game. :) Only the free Alpha Lite does not give you Beta Access or the full game. Any other package does. You can learn more about what the packages include or how much they cost here
bravo93 37 Posted March 1, 2013 In before BI Gestapo close the thread. Oh and I think I saw on the arma 3 website that the alpha will be available until the beta's released.
