Latest Beta patch. Do I need 1.62 prior to install?

I'm running CD verison of A2/OA.... Patch to 1.61 (have not upgraded to 1.62). I would like to try the latest beta patch.

1. Where can I find the exact newest version and more importantly 2. Do I need to have 1.62 installed in order to update to the latest beta patch?

1. http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php (it's recommended to check the subforum dedicated to beta patches here though), I'd get 101747 or 100697.

2. Yes.

The latest beta patch versions are higher than 1.62, so you will need it before you progress onto installing a beta. You can find the latest betas here, however I recommend using SixUpdater or Play withSix for maintaining files which update on a regular basis.
