BoonieRat 0 Posted July 9, 2002 I'm at my wits end!. I've repartitioned, reformated the harddrive, reinstalled w98. clean install of OFP with no error messages up to ver#1.46. and I'm getting CTD's & HL's. I actualy got a Flashpoint.rpt file this time though!. it reads: ===================================================================== == C:\PROGRAM FILES\CODEMASTERS\OPERATIONFLASHPOINT\OPERATIONFLASHPOINT.EXE ===================================================================== Exe version: Sun Jul 07 16:36:42 2002 file: Â Â cur_sp world: Â Â abel campaign: battle: Â mission: Â Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION Can anyone help me on the basis of this?. I've tried three diferent Detonater #'s. three AGP(ALi) drivers. two different BIOS's. DirectX8.1a & DX8.1b. My AGP apperature is at 64mb(tried different). i've tried with sound hardware on/off. my specs are: (all clocks default) Windows98, Iwill KA266-r, 1200 t~bird, Leadtek Gf3Ti500, SoundBlaster 5.1, 512MB Crucial 2100,(conservative settings). IBM GPX 60, 40gig, Toshiba DVD~ROM, HP 7200 series CD~W,CD~RW, Zoom PCI V92 Modem, there are no IRQ's shared, no conflicts. I've heard that Soundblaster can have problems with poor ACPI implementation. could this be the cause?. the thing is i've tried with the on~board(C~Media) sound and it crashed there too! ... can anyone explain the .rpt file error message?... thanks peeps' ...
