Refresh rate lock for ArmA (Note, NOT framerate lock)

My game randomly minimises to the desktop but with the game still running.

The only way to sort this out is to ALT-ENTER out of the game to make it run in windowed mode, then do the same to bring it back to full screen mode.

The problem is that when it is full screen mode the refresh rate has changed from 60hz to 75hz, this wrecks the graphics.

Is there any way to remove the option of having a refresh rate over 60hz?

Changing the config files doesn't work as it changes them back to the higher rate.

Any help is greatly appreciated :pray:

Is your monitors native refresh rate 60hz? What refresh rate is your windows desktop?

What do you mean by "wreck the graphics?"

You should be able to run at the maximum refresh rate for your monitors native resolution. This is recommended for best performance and gfx quality too.

My LCD monitor is native @ 60

Windows runs at 60.

The graphics look blocky, the LCD display can't cope with a refresh rate over 60hz

Are you sure that it is not the actual resolution that is changing to lower (eg 1024x768, making it look "blocky"). At lower resolutions the monitor is capable of higher refresh rates. So that would increase also with the resolution changing lower, but would not be causing the "blockyness"

Either way, I'm not sure what could be causing that behavior.

What model monitor is it? (You might as well post other stuff like, version of windows, gfx card, Arma gfx options etc this will help others who may be able to help you.)

The blockyness is not from the resolution of the game, this can be changed as well :)

The refresh rate for most (maybe all?) LCDs is 60hz

A computer spec would have been a good idea wouldn't it :)

I5 Second Generation CPU (can't remember speed but it reaches 4.6ghz at 100% usage)
