Sven2157 1 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) *** EDIT *** This person has contacted me, and we have cleared up this issue. Though, I have not tried/figured out how to do it, apparently you can vote yourself admin with only one( 1 ) person in the server. I will be taking steps to eliminate that from my Sessions, as to not confuse anyone in the future... Sorry for the confusion here... Sealife 22 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) Did I waste my time and money on this game? NO :) , I think if server has not already admin you can vote yourself , its normal for this to happen on empty server so you can select and play missions . However i am not positive this happened it would be my first thought . server setting and console are as Arma series i should imagine. i am sure you already saw these ? https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Multiplayer_Server_Commands probably you need this ? #exec ban 455239TH Edited October 7, 2012 by Thromp
Sven2157 1 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) I finally found the Multiplayer Console Commands... WHY IS EVERYTHING IN THE WIKI AND FORUMS BURIED? For those that find this later: Since the WIKI is so broad and open-ended about how to do things, I had to figure it out on my own. So I had to try to ban myself. The Console will not let you ban yourself, no matter what command is used. First you have to create an empty .TXT file in the root folder of TKOH, called 'ban.txt'. In my case that is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\take on helicopters'. I am not sure if you can ban someone that is not on the server. The following commands are suppose to work for banning someone: #exec ban nickName #exec ban 123456TH #exec ban 3 While in game you can use '#userlist' to find the Player ID, Player slot number or Nickname. Ultimately I found that by placing my Player ID in the ban.txt, it banned me. Removing my ID and saving the file unbanned me. This file is space delimited; which means you only need a space between banned IDs: playerID<space>playerID 123456TH 654321TH etc etc Hope that helps someone down the road.... ---------- Post added at 10:50 ---------- Previous post was at 10:46 ---------- Thanks Thromp! :) We were posting at the same time. Thromp's suggestion was correct. I am locking the thread( marking it as Solved ). Thanks again Thromp... Edited October 9, 2012 by Sven2157
