SkipperDoli 1 Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) i.e short and quick loading times, really appreciate not having to look at the loading screen for too long, which is the case with many otherwise great games. Especially since I fail and have to reload alot in this game, the quick and painless loading times is a good bonus for me :) Edited October 6, 2012 by SkipperDoli
Dreadnought808 1 Posted October 6, 2012 It's quite fantastic how short the loading times are!
Thygrrr 1 Posted October 6, 2012 I find them kind of okay. Nothing to get too excited about... but then, I have an SSD, so maybe short loading times are too normal for me to notice.
tortuosit 486 Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) Yup, I also have an SSD (Crucial M4) and a modern computer - loading times were something I know from the past, but I almost can't remember :D The downside, e.g. in Skyrim was, you couldn't read the "loading screen hints" until the end... SSD is the best tuneup I experienced for ages. Alignment has to be correct though (which isn't if file system has been formatted with XP setup cd for whatever reason). Windows itself boots like in 7 seconds until login screen, BIOS/AHCI business/hd detection is the slow factor after turning the computer on. Userlogin and ready to work: less than 2 more seconds! EDIT: I forgot to mention the second best tune up these days is downloadable RAM. http://www.downloadmoreram.com/ - works best with Macs, obviously.
