Need help with the 3d editor

I have been wanting to convert a 3d mission to 2d i havent got internet atm so ive been printing various guides from work and taking them home i know ive used the search bar and found many tutourials on how to convert them but there in video and i cant take them home some time ago i did find a text based guide as to how to convert the 3d files into the 2d mission editor but now i cant find it can anyone please give me a link if they know where it is or could someone simply just tell me how to do it by commenting below thankyou for taking your time out to read this

The only thing I ever use the 3D editor for is laying out objects and empty vehicles for a base or something. Once you have your non-unit objects in place save the mission and use this convert tool to make it into a mergeable 2D mission. Any live units you had on the map would be deleted during the conversion process.

It's possible to use live units by placing them then editing the mission.sqf and pulling out just the unit placement parts of it, but that's messy and you can't see in the editor where they'll be since they are all spawned by the server at game start.

Hey there. I found a very useful tutorial on youtube by a user by the name of "ApocalypseDan". I believe the process is very similar to what Kylania said however he did not mention you would lose anything previously created on a 2D map. This seems like a true conversion. I still yet have to try this out myself but looks like something very worth your time.
