Retexturing the German Shepard? (need help)

Recommended Posts

Greetings!

I've searched for forum now, and I can't seem to find the proper information I require to finish my task.. Well,

I want to re-texture the German Shepard in-game, and do some coloring to it. I've checked the addons/animals2/dogs/fin/data where "dog_yellow_X" comes up (x=multiple different endings) in .PAA and .RVMAT. When I try to open these in Photoshop, I get another dog texture, so this isn't the one I look for. I searched the Arrowhead folder, and found something called "Pastor" (I recall I saw the dog named that), though, while opening the "pastor_ti_ca.paa" I only get a red image... (Is it protected?).

So, anyone have an idea where I can find the German Shepard texture so I could do my new texture to it..?

Thanks in advance!

The "pastor_co.paa" is the one you're looking for (...\animals2\ca\animals2\Dogs\Pastor\data). A "_ca" texture is a color alpha (diffuse map with alpha) but the strange thing is that I don't have such a texture in my "Pastor" folder so why do you?

The answer is no, unfortunately.

Models that are not discrete (things that deform with animations), can't have their textures changed on the deforming parts using config techniques.

To do it any other way violates the ArmA 2 EULA.

The _ti texture is a thermal image texture that tells the thermal imaging engine what thermal properties the object has per pixel. It would not be useful for you to change textures.
