Question about unit movement/behavior control

Recommended Posts

Hello,

In the gameplay video, it seems that player can still take control of launched units like in original game. My question is, can we control units in a more strategic/tactical way, like mouse point and click a target or destination, or order units to attack/defend/capture other unit(s)?

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, you can send your units using the tactical map (similar to an RTS), by using the Radial menu (for issuing commands such as assist and attack) and by taking control of them directly. You can use a combination of these methods of course. Here is a video demonstrating the features in CCGM:

Yes you can, although the units do perform better when controlled by you .. .. ..

I really doubt if they will perform better... :p

I'm not good at games that needs flying or driving vehicles, but prefer commanding squadran of 3-8 units with tactical elements.

Ok not higher, faster or more firepower - controlled by you a single Manta you can make a huge dent in the enemy defenses, AI controlled you would just lose a Manta. Although if you combine with Walruses it can be more useful...
