jacobcrandall1992 1 Posted August 31, 2012 Battleye Issue in ARMA II DayZ Mod - Not Responding Hey, I know this issue is common among many ARMA II DayZ members. Every game I see about 5 people kicked every hour for Battleye issues. I have played other games that use Battleye that do not encounter the number of issues that I see on ARMA II and OA. Here is my issues. Every server I join whether Hive supported or not I am kicked every 2-5 minutes for Battleye not responding. The possible fixes for this that I have tried are as follows: 1) Reinstall the DayZ Mod (manually and through DayZ Commander), 2) Validate Files through Steam, 3) Reinstall/Update Battleye (manually), 4) Reinstall ARMA II/OA, 5) Update router firmware, 6) on the modem change ADSL Settings/Multiplexing Method from VC-Based to LLC-Based (was already on LLC, tried switching to VC but issue persists) I have tried everything that Battleye recommends as well as every independent recommended fixes that I have yet to see. I know that some people say that you need to replace your router/modem after changing the Multiplexing Method, but since I run other games that use Battleye and they work without issues I really don't think this is the issue. If anyone has anything that I can try to fix this problem or any knowlege as to if this will be fixed in the 1.7.2.6 update please let all of us know. THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS THROUGHOUT ARMA II, OA, AND THE MOD DAYZ.
.kju 3244 Posted August 31, 2012 Did you try to play with your computer at a friends house/office/uni? Most of the time the internet connection or router is the source.
maddogx 13 Posted August 31, 2012 Do you run the game as administrator? I haven't experienced this problem myself, but the people I play with occasionally did. And every time it was the same thing: "Oops, forgot to run the game as admin".
jacobcrandall1992 1 Posted August 31, 2012 I played for two months without any issues. I have heard that this could be an issue but I have a hard time believing that this is my problem. Also other games using battleye work without issues. Thanks for your input though. I will take a second look into it and call AT&T. ---------- Post added at 08:37 ---------- Previous post was at 08:36 ---------- I will give this a shot. Thanks! jacobcrandall1992 1 Posted September 1, 2012 It appears that I have resolved the issue. Administrator launching did not seem to fix the issue, but I did happen to try changing my player profile. Oddly enough this seems to have fixed battleye as well. Perhaps the battleye issues I was experiencing were directly tied to my previously used player profile exclusively. Thank you all for you input and hopefully this section will help other players that are experiencing the same issue as well. If you are I wish you good luck. I will mark this post as resolved.
