AI Tank Battle problem, is this a bug or am I not doing it right?

Ok, so I am having a problem with tanks...in that they don't shoot eachother. It worked when it was small but as I kept previewing units kept not shooting at eachother. I dont get it. Is there a vehicle ai script or something I can work around this problem with? Battle is quite big...I dont do small battles so much. Could it be the number of vehicles on the map? I noticed when I first started this mission everything worked well. Then as I added units the problems came up. I must have around 40 individual tanks or APCs on the field (though not in one place) not counting infantry. So I just dont understand the problem.

First thing I'd do is check the ammo, also a tank can still move but not fire due to damaged gun.

Make them playable get in and see if they're fully functional after they stop shooting.

No they never started shooting to begin with. Entire mission the enemy tanks or my friendly tanks do not shoot at all. It's like everyone is set captive true....except they are not. Maybe I should post my mission in progress.

Are you spawning the units if you are then make sure you have a unit from each side on the map first, they can have there probability set to zero if you wish.

If your not spawning them then I really don't know.

What is the range? AI target acquisition at range is abysmal.

I use AI spotters for this sort of thing.

not spawning the units. Maturin these tanks start out at a range of 2km and then literally run into each other without firing a shot. I can understand not shooting eachother from 3 km away but 1cm away...come on. BLUFOR and OPFOR are literally crashing into each other saying "duuurrrr I dont see anybody!" Yeah who am I kidding this has to be a bug. There is no other explanation.

Start downloading Project 85, Russian Desert Camo, and Reshmaan province because those are addons that its using. BTW, addons unrelated to problem because I tested with straight vanilla as well.

Well I am gonna report my testing for any future references. It seems P85 is causing the problems. First I tested with Straight up Vanilla in ARMA2- ok then ARMA CO w/stock map and vanilla units- ok, then Russian desert camo vs vanilla units on stock map- ok Then Russian desert Camo vs P85 units on stock map- NOT OK. Very unfortunate since I really wanted to use the Patton in my map and I use P85 for Western weapons. Looks like you cannot do mass tank battles with P85 so I guess I should tell this to vilas.

I would still like to know if this is an issue for anyone else so if anybody would be willing to test this mission it would be very much appreciated. I know its alot to ask due to the downloads being big. Also anyone know of an addon/mod with Patton other than P85?
