SnowSky 12 Posted August 1, 2012 Looking to host this on a box, where can I download the game client itself I cannot get it off of steam as it wont work on the VPN that its hosted on and the only standalone dedi client seem to be on Linux, help? Hi, when I was playing around, I uploaded my arma folder (without campaign content) to the server and that was it. I had to do this even on my UbuntuServer. From what I remember I had to paste the Linux Dedi Server files afterwards into the arma directory and call a batch to set some path stories. Don't you have the possibility to copy the arma files for example through ftp or sftp?

webelix1 1 Posted August 3, 2012 Take a look at their wiki on this subject: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Dedicated_Server
slendermang 2 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) @Webelix1 Hi thanks for replying, I've already read that and found nothing, what I was asking for a method to download ARMA 2, OA and the dlc's without using Steam as I cannot find a way to host the server without downloading the game itself. There are no standalone clients for windows nor methods to download ARMA, I do not have physical access to the box.
