gunso 10 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer browser downloads to no avail. I'm still getting empty files, and it's only with the ArmA 2 install files. Everything else is fine. I hope u email sprocket and explains your problem, it could be bad download link on their side. I know i remember the files came out as a small files ~1kb with gibberish numbers and alphabet and it's not executable. But it happens a long time ago and i still cant remember how i solve it yet. edit* Oh in the meantime, you can try the download link on a different pc and see if you can download the exe file properly. If not they can easily provide you with a different link. But if other pc can download it without any problem, then the issue may lies with your pc. Just email them if other pc also encounter the same issue. Hope this will help troubleshooting your problem easier. Edited July 30, 2012 by gunso

Placebo 29 Posted July 31, 2012 Error was related to the US mirrors only which is now fixed, you'll need to log in to get a new sprocket.exe
darkevin 1 Posted August 1, 2012 Hallo, i had the same problem with the arma2_110_setup.exe error about x32 x64 bit stuff the other one worked fine, but it only installs Operation Arrowhead it seems. however, my explorer (not internet explorer) crashed for no fucking reason while downloading. that probably interrupted something needed for download and it didnt finish (3 of 6GB downloaded). so its not a 32x 64x executable because its nothing at all, just some messed up .exe file that you try to open you know i also have files like arma2_110_setup01.bin arma2_110_setup01.bin.md5 arma2_110_setup02.bin arma2_110_setup02.bin.md5 in the download folder, with 1 or 2kb of size. i think its the same like the part files you get while downloading stuff. jesus christ, the explorer just crashed again. do i really have to reinstall windows 7 every few months because it starts to get buggy? ill download it on my bros computer and see if it makes the explorer there crash aswell. anyway, try redownloading the setup, maybe your download was aborted somehow aswell. ps: heres my sprocket.log look at line 18, it says: 200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary i dont think thats the problem, but yeah just saying. it also says i downloaded the 6GB even though i only got 3gb in the download folder. maybe the other 6gb got lost when explorer crashed. ill restart explorer.exe now and see what happens. greetings, DarKevin 0031.07.2012 23:28:59.0871 - 220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd ---------- 220-You are user number 48 of 500 allowed. 220-Local time is now 22:38. Placebo 29 Posted August 1, 2012 Delete the md5 files, they're created by Sprocket.exe when it verifies the files, if it sees them there it will never try to download partially downloaded files again (or at least there's a good chance it won't), compare the filesizes to here: If they don't match it might be simplest to delete the file and download each specific file manually rather than using the Sprocket app, although it sounds like your OS install is very unstable so you could have problems with any download method with those problems being primarily related to your PC/OS and not our installer/download servers etc.

mbamg 1 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) BI replied swiftly and told me that they had given me new links. Direct downloading works fine now. By the way, the problem for me was occurring on both US and UK servers, so I think my problem was an isolated one. Edited August 1, 2012 by mbamg
