Frogman3 1 Posted July 18, 2012 Hello, I tried googling this problem, but the solutions I found did not fit for my situation, or the person simply killed the thread with a "I fixed it" and no description. Anywho, I have DayZ fully working on one PC. I installed everything for my dad's PC yesterday and I'm now getting this error when I try to join any servers. I've downloaded the latest beta patch, latest DayZ files. Normally I would've posted this in the DayZ forums, but it seems that everyoen wiht this problem has it with all Arma2 servers. The files it says I shouldnt have are all legitimate files that have been confirmed to be on my PC where the game works. They are all the .pbo files. Simply deleting them causes additional errors (obviously hehe). Anyone have any tips? Thanks!
Placebo 29 Posted July 19, 2012 After everything is installed (Arma2, OA and if you have them the DLC) did you run the 1.60 update? You need to give specific info about which files are not accepted?
Frogman3 1 Posted July 19, 2012 As I stated in the post, ALL .pbo files in the Addon folder are being listed as not accepted. Everything form a10.pbo to wheeled3.pbo
[frl]myke 14 Posted July 19, 2012 Placebos question was: After everything is installed (Arma2, OA and if you have them the DLC) did you run the 1.60 update?
tonygrunt 10 Posted July 19, 2012 Start Arma2 OA without beta and tells us what version number is listed at right-down corner, at main menu.
Frogman3 1 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Start Arma2 OA without beta and tells us what version number is listed at right-down corner, at main menu. It says 1.59.blahblah Ok so I think I need to update it (I guess now I need 1.62, but I heard that I need 1.60 first - is this correct? If so, where do i get 1.60 lol. I tried googling it but the bi.studio mirrors require a login and password for me to download, and the megaupload mirrors link to a "stop SOPA" type of page) Thank you! Edit: yes, it told me I need 1.60 in order to install 1.62 :( ) Edited July 20, 2012 by Frogman3
tonygrunt 10 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Install 1.60. Don't install the 1.62 Release Candidates, unless you want to test them for bugs. Not turning back and no guaranteed update to the final patch. If you need to connect to 1.61 or 1.62 servers, use the appropriate beta. Do not use a beta/RC until 1. you've got 1.60 running and working good and 2. you've backed up your working 1.60 installation so you can quickly and easily undo the beta/RC
Frogman3 1 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Thanks guys- you are a tremendous help! However, a lot of servers seem to be running the 95168 beta patch, and I noticed that a forum post by a dev stated that the beta patch is not MP compatible with 1.60. Can I still just download the beta and have it work on Beta 95168 servers, even who I still only have 1.60? Edit: Nevermind it seems that by installing the 95168 Beta it updated my client to 1.62 :/ Hopefully nothing gets broked.
