How do I trigger the bomb in the first mission? (generator has to explode)

Hello,

i just started the singleplayer campaign.

In the first mission for the communication base near Pusta, they shouldnt blow up they shouldnt blow up the whole town, so I said I would do it myself.

Now i placed the bomb on the generator. In a walkthrough it said now i could just choose "trigger bomb" with the mouse wheel, but there is no option. I dont have my bomb anymore and I cannot trigger it. What do I do?

Words "bomb" and "communication base" are probably called diffrently in the english game. But i play the german version, so I just translated it as good as possible.

How far are you from it? if your too far it will not give you the option.

no go to the generator, then I click" place bomb" then my guy goes on his knees, "plants the bomb" (i dont see any bomb, but he gets back up) and then, when i go away 50 meters or so, or anywhere else, I dont get an option to blow up the thing. And my bomb is gone. Its really annoying

i just watched a Walkthrough on youtube... he doesnt do anything diffrently than me... but he gets an option to blow up the whole place... i dont

Hmm... weird.

If you can't get the option of "detonate charge", try going prone and then place the satchel/bomb underneath the com station. A symbol with two reflected triangles divided by a line should appear (which means the bomb is on the ground). Select "timer 30 seconds" from the drop down menu. Crawl out of the station and back off quickly.

It could be a bug or a problem with a mod, this problem doesn't seem to happen in the English version.

Some mods handle satchel charges differently, yes. Make sure you use the wheel action with text saying something like "Put satchel charges (1 left)" - then you should be definitely able to detonate it.

You must take these when still inside helicopter: Satchel charge, Laser Marker and Laser Marker Battery

Make sure you do not have any mods installed. Many people rush into campaigns and official missions thinking it is a good idea to have every neat modification activated there is. When it is really vary bad idea.
