Arma Air Assault - Military realism without the rank and reports

The short and sweet

New group being built on the foundation of the dynamic military doctrine of air assault. Looking for mature team players. Speak through respect not rank. Have own Teamspeak and dedicated server, just need you.

Background

In the fictitious world of Bohemia Interactive's game, Arma Air Assault is a military group assigned to NATO's Response force. We follow the dynamic military doctrine that is Air Assault.

Arma Air Assault is tasked with the more challenging and aggressive operations when peace-keeping simply isn't enough. With the international background, sections are created using British and American weapons and utilize a variety of military hardware from different countries. This mix of nationalities and equipment brings a new dynamic to an ARMA 2 online gaming group.

Reasons to join

  • The group was founded on some very basic principles; a small group, tactical gameplay, respect, fun, focus and dedication.
  • There are no monthly fees or dues to be a member of AAA, although donations to keep the dedicated server and Teamspeak channel up and running are always welcomed.
  • We speak through respect and not rank. Rank is only used in the structure of training and operations.
  • Arma Air Assault has its own Teamspeak as well as a dedicated server running ACE Mods
  • A selective group of players
  • Gaming schedule based around CST times but have European members who are very happy with our training and operation times.

The immediate need is to build our small but talented air crews (we are after all Air Assault) and of course quality, mature players to fill out the fireteams.

Learn about our group in detail on our website here and enlist here.

Recruiting update

We have filled our Air Wing (air transport) as well as two fire teams. We are considering making the next fire team (the third) a heavy weapons specialty. If you are interested in these roles or just the group in general, learn who we are at our website or introduce yourself on our forums.

We just completed our first operation of an ongoing Campaign (White Stallion on Isla Duala) and are looking into coop missions with other online groups.

Whether you are a seasoned Arma player or a wide-eyed newcomer still in your first throes of awe with the excellent title from Bohemia Interactive, we think you will find something unique in our group.

The group was founded on some very basic principles; a small group, tactical gameplay, respect, fun, focus and dedication. We consider these building blocks for a solid gaming community. Consequently, we try to be selective in our recruiting and bring together like-minded, mature players with the desire to be the best of the best.

If you are looking for an Arma 2 online gaming group that considers its procedures, roll calls and rank more important than building its gaming skills, then we’re not for you.

But if you're looking for a group that will treat its members with the utmost respect, focus on training and push them to their gaming skill limits all while having a barrel of laughs, then read on.

Our goal is to improve the skill sets and tactical understanding of all our members. This is achieved through dedicated trainers as well as support and advice from fellow members. Training schedules are planned weeks in advanced and not thrown together at the last minute. Each training session will give players valuable building blocks that help bring together a set of skills and tactical understanding.

The skills we learn are taken online and used competitively and cooperatively against and with other Arma 2 gaming groups. This is why we do the things we do.

Test Drive

We want you to experience this unique mixture of gameplay and for the first time we are offering a test drive of our group. Join us as we conduct mission on MSO Takistan.

Simply join the forum and send a PM to Silvester, Gibbins or Leon and they'll send you the information needed to join our Teamspeak and game servers.

We look forward to seeing you on the battlefield.

September 29th and 30th

A few updates.....

We are continuing to grow with solid, mature but fun members and are looking to reach our optimum size of 30-40 members. This includes a solid air wing with mostly transportation duties. However, due to our Air Assault doctrine, transport pilots see more action than many attack choppers!! Here is a nod to our air assets as well as our last training mission;

Arma Air Assault is going into 2013 with two full squads and looking to fill our third. Following with our storyline of being part of NATO, our squads have an international make up; Delta is UK, Echo USA and Foxtrot will most likely be Dutch. We have taken our training to the next level, featuring platoon practice one week and an ongoing campaign the following week;

Here is the last mission from our latest campaign;

A mid-year (sort-of) update. We are officially in our second year and consider ourselves incredibly lucky to enjoy full ranks of quality, fun yet serious players as members.

Our latest video shows our ongoing commitment to our training and use of custom missions. We are getting closer to having an open server weekend which should allow players to test drive our members as possible brothers in arms.

Its been a while since we completed the first mission in our latest campaign 'Operation Epimetheus', but we finally had a chance to edit it down.

Our weekly practice/mini-missions/campaign can last up to four hours, so we obviously cut out the tactical movement. etc, out of our videos.....

We have a background story and ongoing progress report on the campaign. All of this continues our commitment to fun as well as tactical training.......

We have one campaign mission left the arc of the story.......

Arma Air Assault are currently going from strength to strength - With some minor reworking within the dept's we are on an active recruitment drive and have never been busier

We currently have 30+ members - 25 Active / 5 on ELOA and with 5 new guys either going through basic module training or just completing it to become a full member of the squad

At this moment our procurement team are working hard to get a new workhorse ready for service and restructuring our air assets to include (but not limiting to) the AH-6J / HC3 and a variant of the blackhawk that will become the mainstay of our operations

We're also looking to start the transition over to Arma 3 when the full game is released and dependant on the mods available (Modern weapons etc) we will make the switch when the entire group is able to do so

If you're interested in joining this growing milsim unit and add to the growing tallent that we have then head over to our forums here and check out our youtube video's here

For your viewing pleasure I present a few trainings ops video's....... Enjoy
