Game doesn't recognize keyboard

Well this is weird...

After finally getting the game to work, I find out that the game doesn't recognize my keyboard, nothing I do ingame on the keyboard seems to affect the game. What's going on here? Obviously my keyboard is working just fine otherwise.

ISSUE RESOLVED

It appears that it was Avast anti-virus that was causing the keyboard problem, instead of opening the .exe in sandbox mode, opening it 'normally' resolved the issue.

No, nothing. Not even alt+f4 works.

sounds like a driver problem.

make sure you have installed all your hardware (motherboard/ chipset / usb) drivers and that they are up to date.

try running a DXdiag, maybe that will show you an error?

What am I supposed to look for? I'm not that tech-savvy.

I should also note that I have a PS/2 keyboard, not USB. Could that be the problem?
