Tulx 10 Posted June 2, 2012 Greetings! Has anyone else tried this combination yet? I installed Win8 Release Preview recently and the AMD beta drivers that came with it. The graphics in ArmA II are completely messed up. Textures are blurry and performance is bad. I can select only medium textures - the option "high" is disabled. Many textures are missing completely. I wonder if this is a beta driver issue or I have corrupted my ArmA files while moving them back and forth... Any experience regarding this?
fraczek 4 Posted June 2, 2012 Not in my case. Win8 Consumer Preview 32bit, AMD Catalyst v8.930.7.0000. Working perfectly. Might be different between Consumer Preview I am using (the older) and Release Preview you are using. Also make sure you are using Catalyst correctly directly from AMD, not the Windows Update WDM driver. And last, 32bit v 64bit might make a difference. 1LT.Wolf.F 10 Posted June 5, 2012 Well I am running Win8 RP (64bit) and the same issues apply from this forum thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?131764-Arma-2-on-Windows-8 For 64 bit Win 8: ArmA 2 and OA (DVD Installs) will work if you limit the memory to 4 GB (msconfig) BAF and PMC Sprocket DLCs have the same issue (see link above)
