Profile path default and bad serial # given in setup errors, Amazon download

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased Arma 2 and AO from Amazon. They are currently in two separate folders from which I run the exe.

On both of the games I get the same message. I have tried running it on steam with all of the administration business, that didn't work.

I did the regedit key thing, but that didn't work either.

I have win 7 and a good computer.

Thanks very much for the help!

Go directly to the ArmA directory in Program Files and launch it via the .exe.

You're going directly into

C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive

And launching ArmA? I'm not talking about launching it from the Start menu or desktop.

you can move the path with -profiles=relative\path or -profiles=c:\absolute\path

Hurr Durr I bet it helps to run the setup first doesn't it.

So here's a new question though, when I purchased CO off Amazon it gave my two separate files for Arma 2 and AO rather than a CO folder.

I'm trying to download the Day Z mod by installing it to both the Arma 2 and AO folder since I have no CO folder. This doesn't appear to work, so does someone know how to get it to work or get a CO folder to download Day Z to?

Thanks

It has been said approx. a thousand times, and there is even a sticky thread about merging ArmA2 and Operation Arrowhead into Combined Operations.

I understand that you new guys can't wait to play your Zombie thing, but at the very least use the forum search in an attempt to fix your problems.

AFAIK, DayZ needs Combined Operations, so having one ArmA2 Folder and one OA folder and installing the Mod into both of them simply doesn't work.

There is no CO folder, no matter where you bought the game. You create Combined Operations by installing both titles into one and the same folder.

No idea how many times I have written that by now...

1) Install ArmA2 and run it once

2) Install OA into the same folder where ArmA2 is installed at and run it once

3) Install the PMC and BAF DLC if applicable

4) Patch the game to v1.60 which updates all of above to their latest version

5) Install that DayZ Mod

6) Win
