I ain't joking. I wouldn't buy an American-made car, either.<span id='postcolor'> What a dumbass comment... The C-130 is one of the most reliable and safest transport aircraft ever made. Trying to compare the quality of consumer goods with the quality of commercial/military aviation hardware is simple at best..and ignorant at worst.  Why dont you grow up? I am sure the NTSB will get to the bottom of what happened.<span id='postcolor'> Ah let him go Warin.  Besides we all know that Canada is known world wide for its Superior Aerospace Industry  <span id='postcolor'> You will also find that most of the water bombers are designed in Canada. Something to do with the amout of forests up here. Not that I'm defending Fetish's comments. They are stupid and imature, wait that does make sense for him COLINMAN
ralphwiggum 6 Posted June 19, 2002 i just saw local news and they had more infos about this plane crash. the plane had gone under a fix for some cracks on its wings. and it was old...45yrs
dayglow 2 Posted June 19, 2002 Most of those planes are pretty old, and work a lot. Damn impressive though. I used to cabin at a lake on Vancouver Island and they would fill up there all the time. Come swooping in on the lake and land, then take off in one motion. Pretty impressive really. Still I guess for 1 failure in this long of a time period and the amount they are used with the weight of water that they move. It's a pretty good record.
