Appogee 1 Posted May 16, 2012 Through bad piloting, the Manta you're personally flying is headed for an imminent, unavoidable and fatal impact with the terrain. Hit 'G' just before you crater. The Manta - now under autopilot - will still impact the ground, but will not be damaged.
turin turambar 0 Posted May 19, 2012 That's less Newtonian or non-Newtonian physics, and more "Mantas don't receive damage in accidents while piloted by AI"
Appogee 1 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Indeed. Sounds much more boring when you say it that way, though. Edited May 19, 2012 by Appogee
scareya 1 Posted May 20, 2012 Hehe. Nevertheless I'm torn: I would really hate having the AI destroying one of my valuable Mantas. Making them indestructible while under AI command isn't maybe the best solution (I would prefer a reliable autopilot) but loosing Mantas to the AI is an absolute No-No! Maybe there should be a small time delay ( 5 seconds or so) for the indestructibility...
