having some problems getting patched

I have to come clean iv never heard of this game before i read a RPS article about the DayZ mod , and straight away i bought OA and then later ARMA 2 (seperatly)

i can run arma 2 fine.

when i try and play OA it says "Addon CAMP_Armory_Misc requires version 1.54 of application.

then i click ok and it then loads and says this

"Error creating Direct3D 9 Graphic engine"

i am not computer savvy at all.. i love games so i play them simple.

i took these error to mean i may need to patch , so i download the patch and then this happens

"Error found in file Expansion\Addons\air_e.pbo"

also when i abort the patcher it says that the patch file is probably damaged and may need to download it again, iv done it three times now and this im sure cannot be the problem

which im not sure about , but maybe has something to do with the DayZ mod i have installed... again im not sure about any of this so any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

ps, my computer is medium to high end capable and more than enough for this game so this will not be the problem, my drivers are also all updated to my knowledge.

What versions of the game are you running?

When game is at the main screen (sp/mp/options etc) look in the bottom right corner.

my version im running according to sixupdater is 1.52.071612

the screen doesnt even make it to the main screen it doesnt even load up the bohemia bit

If you have arma 2 and OA installed you should be on 1.60

Is OA installed to the same directory as Arma2?

urrrm well they are both bought from gamers gate so they are loose on my desktop , both bought seperatly at different times

and as i mentioned im no good with computers so please bear with me :P

If you already haven't? OA needs to be installed in the same directory as Arma2.

Then patch to 1.60

gamersgate copy is pretty straight forward cause i have 1 too,

install Arma 2, then CO in to the SAME LOCATION. then patch the game.

Run the game using arma 2 Combine Operation shortcut, not arma 2 or arma 2 OA.

If for some reason you dont see it, look into your start - all program menu
