Too many pinned topics?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else here feel we have too many pinned topics in the Off topic section? I mean, honestly, some of these are definitely losing their flair. Which ones do you think are getting to be the least popular?

Why did you use your username.

It's one of those threads that people only post in, never actually read. Sure I posted why I chose my username, but I never bothered to read thorugh 18 pages worth of pointless chatter.

Yakkidie yak yak yak.

I agree, this could be an interesting poll.

As I see it the untouchables are:

Hilandor's famous image=ban thread

Mid East - cult, still going strong

Military Stupidity - One of the few threads that has to do with the intended contents of the offtopic forum

World cup - Anybody removing that thread would probably be killed in a very nasty way by many of the members

I agree with Ralph. A thread whos purpose is for something temporary can only last for so long. When does the world cup 2002 end anyway?

yepp. trust me nobody will want to have it here. after the WC everybody will be pissed about how their teams lost and Senegal won the gold smile.gif

After that everybody will remain angry for about 4 years, just in time for the next WC. wink.gif

Edit: The finals are 30/6

Military Stupidity, Story and Middle East will be unpinned when they're no longer active, ie no new posts after a week or so, images=ban stays permanently, username is a good way for people to introduce themselves to the forum so it stays, if you don't read it anymore then fine that's your choice, world cup obviously will be unpinned after the final, then it is free to remain active or not dependant on use.

End of story, thread closed smile.gif
