Mission Idea [Incomplete] [Random Missions Campaign]

I hope this is the right section to post this (Don't know whether it goes to the editing section or this section)

I was working on a campaign project called the Random Mission Campaign. It's basically a campaign where the first few missions you select a few stuff before you start the real missions. (Pick a faction [bLUFOR, OPFOR, IND]; Pick how many players [2-n]; Pick which squad [Depends on players you pick, you pick there will be squads to play or nothing if not available]; Pick Island [Chernarus, Takistan, etc]; Randomized [Just a mission in the file where you do nothing and in 10 seconds it will end and a random End scenario will be pick which will then pick a random mission to play]).

So far there's only something in BLUFOR -> 4 player coop -> Ghost Team -> Takistan

The project is still incomplete, and I'm considering not working on this and just doing individual no respawn/revive coop missions instead and packaging them (kind of like sander's style missions). I showed my friend this so far and one of them like it. My other friend and I, we both like the concept of the random selection, but it is a lot of mission-changing (about 5 sections of no missions) then the mission start.

I'm wondering if this would be more convenient to do, or just individual mission pack. I most likely will not have time to commit to this (real life) and it would be a lot of work unless there is multiple people working. You may use it as a template if you wish or work on it yourself.

Overall I'm wondering whether its good or bad concept; continue or discontinue; convenient or inconvenient; Random Mission Campaign, individual missions, or both

Please do that. Please.

I guarantee you that at least one, dedicated, seriouse, with a long heritage of coop gaming team will enjoy your work.

Anything other than that is just a waste of your good time, in my opinion.

I guess you're right. I might as well just make individual missions. The campaign idea does seem like a hassle, but I'll just leave it out for anyone who would like to look through it or use it as their own.

I'd say that it would be better to release those single missions you told about. I've seen so many bigger ambitious concepts in addon and mission wise started and never released and it's really a pitty. So much good work going into waste. If you're doubting which way you want to go, I'd say take a smaller bite. Or at least take smaller bites at a time. It could be a good idea to begin something bigger in a way that you're able to realease it a portion at a time for people to enjoy and head for the bigger picture as you make progress. But going for something "epic" and after months of work just giving up is a pitty as you can guess. This is my two cents.
