Schnatta 1 Posted April 7, 2012 Dear BI team, thanks so much for this game! For me, Carrier Command is THAT game, it's the only game I play often since more than 20 years! I was praying for a remake since ages, but there was no one, also the open source remake was cancelled. And, of course, as a big fan, I was afraid that CCGM would'nt be Carrier Command. Often remakes are only re-"gains" with a great name. But this game - ITS CARRIER COMMAND! WOOT! Damn, it's fucking good! Some things to change, but minor and it's a beta. For this Beta state it's really, really well done work! All in all you brought carrier command into modern times and that is what a remake is for! And there's truly NO other developer worth trusting with this sacred gaming jewel (well, apart from Pandemic in 1998... and Stardock wouldn't make a mess of it :) ). sic-disaster 311 Posted April 7, 2012 Only pathfinding problems I've seen so far is Walruses getting stuck on wreckages as they try to push their way through, and on this one island that I cant remember the name of there seems to be sort of dam-like structure, acting as a bridge which they were seemingly unable to cross. Oh, and this one time two Walruses tried to drive through the carrier. But that's about it. They could be optimised though as sometimes some vehicles seem to lag behind as others race ahead. ElToro 1 Posted April 8, 2012 Played 5 games, and i can say - it's awesome! Sadly, i'm not played the original game, i only played hostile waters, but this game is superb! onemustrule 1 Posted April 8, 2012 Yeah its definitly a nice remake, the defensive islands could have a landing bay like the original for mantas.. small point with the ai pathfinding it would help if they implemented formations so you tell a group of walrus to go down the road they move as a unit. and couldnt they just buy pathfinding code of somewhere. would it be expensive? battlezone 2 and carrier command are some of my fav games oh warzone 2100!!
