Wartooth6 10 Posted March 30, 2012 So, I'm using steam, I have all DLC's, Game has run fine for years. Specs: Evga x58 classified I7 920 6gb corsair dominator evga 480 classified evga 280 classified for physx and 1 of the 3 monitors. I recently reinstalled windows, and copied my steam folder over to a different drive, then after install, moved it back, reverified everything, and it didn't work. Since then I have uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted backups and redownloaded the whole game and dlc's over, reinstalled steam, etc. I am indeed running everything via administrator. I have read MANY forums over the past month or so and no solutions are helping me. The only error I get is from windows stating "this program failed to launch" or something of that nature. Here is my RPT, it may be vague, because the game wont even get to the menu. Uninstall BF3 and it will run again. :D Seriously, there is the famous C0000005 error in your rpt. There should be quite a few threads here about this. ErrorMessage: Cannot open file 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\PMC\addons\ca_pmc.pbo' Looks strange when you have everything installed. These warning messages like No entry '.profilePathDefault'. shouldn't be there either. Try removing the -winxp parameter. I haven't used that in the past months and game runs fine on quad core. Have you installed the latest drivers for your hardware? Check integrity of your Steam cache, or download and reinstall completely. There's probably something screwed up with your installation. Wartooth6 10 Posted March 30, 2012 I have reinstalled many times, gone as far as deleting the backups I had of arma, and redownloading it, the reinstalling, still to no avail. I tried taking the command lines out, but it didn't help. I seen those lines in the RPT too but have no idea what to do to fix that, Reinstalling hasn't helped thus far though. I was thinking maybe something in the registry needs to be cleared out before I should reinstall again? I would need further advice but have heard of this happening with other games.
