Ya, I'm 1337  biggrin.gif<span id='postcolor'>

Is that windowblindes ?  God damn that's sweet. What is it ?<span id='postcolor'>

It's litestep.  It uses less resources, has cooler stuff, and theres tons of themes so it'll look rad.

It replaces explorer as your default shell so you no longer have the windows taskbar, start button, etc.

You get cool things like virtual desktops, integrated winamp, custom modules like the little system resources/hard drive space/uptime one I have included in my theme.  Plus its very customizeable.

Intrigued?

Google Search

You can get tons of different themes for it and it's relatively easy to setup, but if you're a n00b, dont do it.  You could end up screwing something up.

My theme if you're interested is called 404 and I got it from deviant art

Desktop 2

If you are confused and trying to set it up my AIM handle is in my user profile<span id='postcolor'>

HOT ! I know windows blinds has to be purchased, is this a commercial product too ? I checked the website www.litestep.net, though from what I read it's being revamped sad.gif

I'll keep checking back. By the way how difficult is it ? Is it just replacing some files in the winnt folder ?

I know, regardless, moderators will shut this thread down unless you edit it. They already made a warning and edited 3 other pics in this thread. So please post a hyperlink to that picture instead. Thanks

Hit the PrintScreen button on your keyboard. That will take the image and copy it to the clipboard. You'll need to save it in JPEG format using common graphics software.

Lol, yeah, you are about as "noobie" as they get. I think Windows 98's Paint has a JPEG capability. Just go to Start>Accessories>Paint. Once there just go to copy>paste. It may ask you if you wish to resize the canvas or something like that so just say yes. Then just save the picture in JPEG format. Hopefully it will be under 100kb. Upload it to a web server and post the picture here directly (if it's under 100kb) and if it's over, then post the hyperlink to it. You can determine its file size by right-clicking on the image and selecting Properties.

nope.Win98 Paint only works for Bitmaps.

Win ME/2K's paint has Gif type avaiable, but not JPEG.

and what advocate and I are saying is programs like Adobe Photoshop and so on. I don't have them cuz they are expensive.

I took the dive and got the whole object desktop stuff so I run windowblinds and such. I really adds to the desktop and I think it's money well spent. Just means not buying a crappy game really smile.gif I tried litestep, but I could never get it to run stable for me and it's not the easiest to setup so windowblinds it is. Nice thing is is that end-it-all shuts it all down so I can run games with the most resources possible.

I've been using IrfanView32 for years, and I love it.

It's a perfect image viewer, and it's quick.
