T-6A Texan II MOD

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am currently working on converting a FSX T-6A model into ARMA. I was able to get the model into Oxygen 2; however, this is where my modding skills are limited.

Oxygen 2, to my knowledge, is installed correctly and buldozer seems to work with a simple box. However, when I try to preview the T-6A model I get an error in buldozer saying "too many vertices". So I guess my question is: what tools in Oxygen are available to edit the vertices?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes it's the freeware version of the IRIS T-6A. I have tried to contact them about the conversion and I haven't heard anything back. So I figured I would try to at least get it into oxygen for editing and then if I can get a go ahead from IRIS I would continue to try and finalize the model for use in ARMA.

I sent them a PM a few months back about the same model, this is the reply.

Sorry Darkhorse,

We cannot provide permission for reverse engineering of our products for any platform outside the platform they were intended for, regardless of status (commercial, freeware etc).

I thank you for your enquiry though.

Regards

David.

Your best bet would be to either find a PC-9 model and convert it into a Texan II, or start from scratch.

I'm releasing PC-9 in cooperation with Slatts, in Super Tucano version for Lingor Units (Army of Ramon Rabante).

ETA: 1-2 weeks max.

Thanks for the heads up IceBreakr...Is the PC-9 going to have front and rear cockpits available for use with working gauges?

I am actually going to be starting primary flight training here in a couple weeks and we fly in the T-6A so If I can be of any help let me know. I have most if not all the publications for the T-6A (Cockpit diagrams/ aircraft procedures and limitations...etc).
