TedStryker 1 Posted March 1, 2012 I downloaded arma 2 and oa from here. I bought "arma 2: reinforcements" on CD and installed the british and pmc. Whats strange, (and i do have keys binded with logitech's setpoint), is that keys binded within the game are not working- like button 5 for free look. im updated, ive rebooted nothing has really changed until i installed the expansions. the only buttons on my mouse that do anything anymore are lmb/rmb and scroll. All mouse buttons work outside of game ( using setpoint i assigned the "search key" to b and can hit it now and it types a b, b -see? And i can move forward and backward in web browser. Everything worked great until i installed from this cd.... Anything like this happen before, any ideas? Any suggestions on what I should do? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
TedStryker 1 Posted March 1, 2012 Well i dont know what the hell happened to cause the problem. I uninstalled everything arma, and uninstalled setpoint. i reinstalled arma 2 that i direct downloaded then installed setpoint. after mesing with settings on setpoint and making sure all that "permission" crap was in order, i finally got it working. then i installed the rest (reinforcements) off the cd and everything seems fine now. Like i said i dont know why the situation explained above threw my mouse software all out of whack, but if anyone has the same problem i would suggest be weary of combining direct download install with cd install containing same expansions. And if all else fails, spend 3-4 hours uninstalling and reinstalling EVERYTHING. Problem solved... i guess. BTW im using win7 64bit Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
kylania 568 Posted March 1, 2012 To get around permission issues I always install to C:\CO instead of the default location. That way everything gets installed into the same directory and the file paths are real short and there's no permission issues since it's not under Program Files.
