Flogger23m 2 Posted January 23, 2012 For some reason textures on trees, buildings and other props look very blurry until I am very close to them. This is mainly an issue in Cherrussia (spelling) and I do not notice it in Takistan very much. I am wondering how I can fix this? Very blurry textures: http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af73/Flogger23m/ArmAtextpop.jpg Though when very close it looks high res: http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af73/Flogger23m/arma2OA2012-01-2310-47-20-45.jpg In game settings: http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af73/Flogger23m/arma2OA2012-01-2310-47-28-89.jpg I have 2GB of video RAM and 8GB of system RAM, so that should not be an issue. igneous01 19 Posted January 23, 2012 I suggest setting video memory to default - there are some issues with the other settings as it doesn't utilize all the available VRAM and is one of the main reasons why you get blurry/low res textures even though you are close to them. Default takes advantage of all your video memory.
pipscouse 10 Posted January 23, 2012 Try putting post processing to low or very low
Flogger23m 2 Posted January 27, 2012 I switched video memory to default, and the issue went away. :) It also uses more video RAM, roughly 1,180 MB. This is not an issue, in fact it is good, because I spent extra to get a 2GB card.
mr_centipede 31 Posted January 27, 2012 I had that issue too with 8gb ram, but the memory settings only show low and normal, and some various video anomalies. During ARMA2 launch I think there were issues with 8gb ram... So for now I just remove the extra 4gb of ram. Maybe I should use Maxmem instead?
